I have to admit, after playing the original Lost Planet and finishing it, I had no interest in returning to E.D.N. III. But when I learned the icy planet has now sprung up different jungle and dessert environments after 10 years — and everything is bigger, badder and meaner — I raised an eyebrow towards Capcom’s direction at X10.
Ryan Mcdougall happily greeted me as I demanded answers to my main question. What makes Lost Planet 2 unique, and why should gamers care? Mcdougall eagerly nodded and schooled me in the art of grass blades, pink scarves, Gears of War and everything else that “stokes his fire” in Lost Planet 2.
