/script!– /videoId: jAIDXzv_fKA — The a class=”autolink” title=”Click here to read more posts tagged #dveimmersionroom” href=”http://gizmodo.com/tag/dveimmersionroom/”DVE Immersion room/a might well be the most impressive holographic telepresence setup for sharing 3D Powerpoint presentations ever (better than a href=”http://gizmodo.com/5120268/ciscos-streaming-media-boxes-and-hd-telepresence-gear-for-average-joe”anything you could buy/a), but their promo video feels like it was produced by OCP in Robocop./p
pThe idea, as you can see in the video, is that you’re not trapped in a tube a href=”http://gizmodo.com/220713/cisco-telepresence-3000-virtual-meeting-boredom-still-real”like traditional telepresence setups/a. As for technical specifications, what a href=”http://www.dvetelepresence.com/room/tele_immersion.htm”they’re offering/a is a full 1080p 60fps camera and display system, with room for 8 people on each side of a call. But I really can’t get over the video, which should only be aired after 2am on select cable channels.
