The United Arab Emirates, ever fond of a good bit of censorship, has added Heavy Rain to its long list of banned videogames. The Quantic Dream game, which features sexual content and a storyline revolving around a serial killer, has been deemed too spicy for Arabic sensibilities, and thus won’t be available in the region … legally, anyway.
Heavy Rain joins such titles as Darksiders, Dante’s Inferno and God of War. This moral crusade will, of course, just turn ordinary gamers into criminals as they find another means to get hold of the games. Still, if they want to do it the hard way, that’s up to them.
The sex scene isn’t all that good, anyway.
