It goes without saying, we’re all excited about Sonic’s return-to-form in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4. For all of you folks who’ve put your head between your legs and chanted “Sega please don’t screw this up” over and over again, never fear — it definitely looks like an old-school Sonic game.
The confirmation comes by way of “leaked” footage posted by 1UP, taken from the Xbox 360 version of the title. The screens show off four zones (along with a single special stage) that will allegedly find their way to “Episode 1″ — Splash Hill, Lost Labyrinth, Casino Street, Mad Gear Zone.
The video shows off a game that looks like it could have been released in Sonic’s Sega Genesis heyday… and that’s a good thing, don’t you think?
