I haven’t been paying much attention to Atari’s Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime game, but it doesn’t involve the original characters, or the writing that made the last game so good. However, based on this multiplayer trailer above, I think I’ve finally come around. Seriously, it’s basically Smash TV with Ghostbusters, and just typing that makes me happy. Yes, this does mean the Ghostbusters cross their streams almost constantly, but you really couldn’t make a top-down shooter like this without fudging that rule, or else the universe would implode after about 5 seconds of gameplay. And that’s not fun for anyone.
