Xtranormal has been around for a while; I’ve been a member so long, it was still in beta when I joined. If you aren’t familiar with it, you basically write a script, and it makes an animated video of what you wrote.
It’s really easy to use, and I’ve been meaning to dick around with it for ages, but I hadn’t gotten around to it–until now.
I picked a gag I thought of that I really couldn’t use for Twitter, both for length reasons and because my Twitter feed posts as my Facebook status and my parents are both on Facebook and this isn’t really the kind of joke I want them seeing…
But I digress. Here, as a special for you dedicated Nerdbastards readers, is a demonstration of how easy it is for any asshole who knows how to type to make something that looks like it took far more time and effort than it really did.
As you can see, you can change expressions, camera angles, gestures, all kinds of stuff. The base components (and there are a lot of them) are free, and you can buy stuff that’s fancier and/or more complex.
