Hooray (insert sarcastic voice) for Paramount, as they’re planning to get the live action reboot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles flick out and hoping for it to become a “popular franchise” like the Transformers films. Deadline.com got a tip on how Paramount wants the film to have a 2012 release. They have hired Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, who both have written the first Iron Man film and the Highlander reboot, and must have the first draft of the script done by October.
Knowing that Platinum Dunes (Michael Bay’s production company) is responsible for the film, are any of you excited for the reboot? While I do love the Ninja Turtles, I’m not that excited for this film. Who knows, maybe I could be wrong and will enjoy the film but looking at Platinum Dunes track record, I’m not holding any hope for this one.
