According to EW Martin Freeman could very well be the top of the list to play Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit!

Thats all I gotta hear! Freeman has been on the BBC’s Sherlock and The Office and it looks like the man with the balls made of solid gold has been given reign to work around his schedule! Its like “Hey Zach, we know you need to throw up posts online but we want you to play Bilbo, and we’ll work AROUND your writing!” Makes me wanna throw myself from a cliff with envy!

There were rumors swirling around this week that he passed on the offer due to his commitment to the BBC series Sherlock. It doesn’t look like that is the case now. Apparently an offer has been put out to the actor, and that the studio will work around his schedule.

So what do you think? This guy? Or  Zach Galifinakis? I know he’s not in the running but imagine how AMAZING! Or, Liev Schrieber. He’d be a Clutch Bilbo!
