The XBox 360 is a glorious machine, and yet, mention the “Red Ring of Death,” and every owner of this machine will recount to you their story. I have had mine since launch day, and love it! But, I have experienced the red rings more times that I care to mention.

For those who do not know, the red rings show up when something is dreadfully wrong with the XBox 360 console. The normal green ring turns red, and means that you need to call Microsoft, ship them your XBox and get it fixed. This takes weeks, and sometimes (as was my case) the one they sent me was a previously fixed one (aka refurbished) and broke a few days later.

Luckily, some United States Marines have found the perfect way to fix this little error. Like the Marines, this solution is quick, simple and to-the-point.
