Hey, look! It’s Thor!

This is the first picture of Chris Hemsworth (Captain Kirk’s dad in J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek movie) as Marvel’s Norse god of thunder, Thor. Thor is the next Avenger to get his own movie; it’s scheduled for release May 7, 2011. And that’s more than enough time for a fanboy war to break out over the pros and cons of the costume.

Certainly, it’s better than the last live-action Thor. You know, in the 80s TV movie, “The Incredible Hulk Returns.”
