Love ‘em or hate ‘em, Russell Brand seems to be here to stay. We recently saw him in Get Him to the Greek, which had a die-hard following but failed to emulate the box office success of his previous film, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Today, it was announced that the actor is currently in negotiations to take on the titular role in Harkwood, an action comedy loosely based on the life of 14th century mercenary John Harkwood.
While I’ve never particularly fancied Brand, I believe a role like this could be good for him. As long as Harkwood’s story isn’t embellished with Brand’s typical gross-out humor, this could be an excellent film.
