Iron Man 2 hasn’t even opened here in the U.S. yet but the red and gold metallic superhero has already beaten down the international box office (6,764 theaters) earning over $100.2 million in just five days!   # 2 (as I call it) has passed the magical $100 million mark winning the weekend in 52 out of 53 territories. Them dang Iranians! Anyway this puts Iron Man 2 26% ahead of Iron Man’s International debut which went on to bring in $585 million worldwide. The Dark Knight holds the weekend record still with $158 million, can Iron Man 2 break the record this coming weekend here in the U.S.? It looks likely!

This should really make Paramount happy so they can make Anchorman 2 now!
