Here’s your first look at a couple movies that are currently in production that some of you might be interested in. Dwayne Johnson looking like a tough guy again in Faster, and Mia Wasikowska looking very Janish in Jane Eyre.

Faster is a film that moves Johnson away from the silly Disney films that he has gotten used to making. Johnson plays an ex-con who sets out to avenge his brother’s death. The film is being directed by George Tillman Jr. and was written by Joe and Tony Gayton. The film co-stars Billy Bob Thornton and Carla Gugino as detectives on the case, Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) plays Johnson’s girlfriend; Oliver Jackson-Cohen plays a killer on Johnson’s trail, and Maggie Grace from taken is in the film but were not quite sure who she plays yet. It will be fun to see Johnson getting back into some hardcore roles again. The image above comes from Film Totaal.

Then there is Cary Fukunag’s adaptation of the classic novel by Charlotte Bront
