In an interview with E!, Steve Carrell confirmed that he’d definitely be leaving The Office at the end of next season.
“I just think it’s time,” Carell said. “I want to fulfill my contract. When I first signed on I had a contract for seven seasons, and this coming year is my seventh. I just thought it was time for my character to go.”
He went on to say he believes the show could continue without him due to the strength of the new characters and storylines. Those who feel the show has gotten weaker with each passing season might argue with that, though.
Would you watch The Office should Dunder-Mifflin be under new management?
