Ok just because Matthew Vaughn is directing X-Men: First Class doesn’t mean he’s bringng is pal Aaron Johnson along. It was rumored that Johnson was going to be playing Cyclops but today the rumor has been debunked, he won’t be playing Cyclops or any other character in the X-Men reboot.

Producer Tarquin Pack debunked the rumor telling MovieWeb this:

Nothing you don’t know about, yeah. Don’t believe everything you read in the papers about Aaron, unfortunately. Aaron’s kind of busy, yeah.

Here’s the confirmed casting:

• James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier
• Michael Fassbender as Magneto
• Nicholas Hoult as Beast
• Alice Eve as Emma Frost
• Caleb Landry Jones as Banshee
• Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique
• Kevin Bacon as the villain (rumored to be Sebastian Shaw)
• Edi Gathegi as Darwin

And rumored casting:

• Rosamund Pike as Moira MacTaggart
• Lucas Till as Havok

The characters “Multiple Man” and “Willow”are also rumored to be in the film. I do hope alot of the characters don’t play any major role at all because of the fact they weren’t even around yet when X-Men first began, which this is the story of. We don’t need Wolverine or any of the other newbies to make a successful film!  I’d like to see a X-Factor or X-Force movie or even one of the other titles they have plenty of charcters to play off of.
