This is an oddly inspiring story.
There’s a PC gaming cafe in Kaneohe, Hawaii, called PC Gamerz. On July 28th, Devin Woolery was the guy in charge. As usual, he was sitting behind the counter, watching his customers. It was about midnight, and there were nine gamers in the cafe.
Two robbery suspects then entered the cafe (while a third kept watch outside), and they attempted to rob Devin. Devin was having none of it. He pushed the panic alarm button, and got punched several times for his trouble. One of the suspects then began robbing the individual customers. One of them then made a BIG mistake. They attempted to rob Dillon Hayes of his Nintendo DS.
The fight was on. Dillon started fighting with one of the robbers. Devin was fighting with the other. The other gamers jumped in. It was geeks versus robbers, and the fists were flying. Ultimately, the geeks won, shoving the robbers out the front door.
The robbery suspects, geniuses that they are, were soon caught. You see, not only did they get their asses kicked while trying a strong arm robbery (for the unaware, the idea behind a strong arm robbery is that the suspects can beat up the victims. These guys obviously miscalculated), but they tried to rob a cafe that was a bit too close to home. In fact, they were former customers of the cafe. That means the suspects had registered, filled out info cards, and given the gaming cafe their names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. This really made things easy for the police.
I can’t help but cheer for the good guys in this one. The geeks finally won one, and they did it with some ass-kickery. Nice going, gamers!

awesome. Nintendo DS does kick ass… I wouldn’t want to lose my 100+ hr Pokemon game, either.
I guess these guys didn’t take Nerd Rage into account. This should also go into some idiot criminal wall of shame, too… Just how much money did those morons think the geeks would have? We spend it all on games, dammit!
