Last year, we asked the Ars audience to put together a short video explaining a scientific concept or topic, and send it in to us. The winners would take home a nice bit of gear, and the community would get to enjoy a collection of great video content that might make them just a touch smarter. In short, everyone would win.
But the judges, John Pavlus, Jon Stokes, and yours truly, had to pick some winners from among the winners. It turned out to be a really difficult task—so difficult that the three of us ended in a deadlock for the grand prize winner and had to call on our Editor-in-Chief Ken Fisher to break the tie. With that bit of contention out of the way, we’re now able to announce the contest winners.
